The seminars will cover issues concerning the effect of debt enforcement on home owners; the role of security rights in insolvency law in view of the National Credit Act (NCA); security rights in the form of pledge, notarial bonds and liens; the application of the subsidiarity principles as they influence the relationship between the housing clause, mortgage principles and the NCA; and last but not least the subprime mortgage crisis and securitisation.
