The weekly seminars scheduled for the month of March will focus on real security rights, especially with regard to the impact of the National Credit Act and the application of subsidiarity principles. Experts in this field of law recently visited the SARCPL.
In the first week of March Professor Lienne Steyn from the University of KwaZulu-Natal visited the SARCPL and presented seminars on the interaction between the National Credit Act and Insolvency Law.
Professor Gerrit Pienaar (above) from the North-West University presented seminars on real security in the form of pledge, notarial bonds and liens.
Professor Benjamin Davy (above) from the School of Spatial Planning at the Technische Universität Dortmund, Germany is currently visiting the SARCPL to do research. He recently published a book, entitled Land policy: Planning and the spatial consequences of property (2012) England: Ashgate Publishing Limited.
