Dr Eveline Ramaekers
Dr Eveline Ramaekers is a career development fellow at Wadham College, University of Oxford. She obtained her doctorate at the European Law School in Maastricht in 2013. She had previously visited the SARCPL as doctoral candidate and returned this year so share her findings. Her research interests include European Union law, comparative property law and private international law. She visited the SARCPL from 24 March – 4 April and presented two seminars on property theory, focusing on the questions of what is property and how does one draw the line between property law and the law of obligations.
Prof Rachael Walsh
Professor Rachael Walsh, research fellow of the SARCPL, is an assistant professor at the School of Law, Trinity College, Dublin. Prof Walsh’s research interests include property law and theory, constitutional law, land-use law and jurisprudence. Prof Walsh visited the SARCPL from 14–24 April and presented a seminar on the impact of article 8 of the Human Rights Act 1998 in eviction disputes in England; as well as seminar on property related issues in Irish law, in particular proportionality and social justice.
