In March 2015, Dr Eveline Ramaekers visited the South African Research Chair in Property Law. During her visit she presented a seminar concerning mortgage loan agreements and enforcement procedures in the EU. The seminar focused on how the decisions of the Court of Justice of the European Union impact national (property) law and whether the CJEU protects a debtor’s home ownership.
Dr Ramaekers teaches European Union law, land law and trusts at Wadham College, University of Oxford. She was awarded a doctorate in European Union (EU) property law by Maastricht University in 2013. Dr Ramaekers’ research interests include European and comparative property law, European private law and conflicts of laws.
