Mr Nhlanhla Lucky Sono is an alumnus of the University of Venda and the South African Research Chair in Property Law (University of Stellenbosch). Mr Sono received his LLM cum laude in property law in 2014. His thesis is titled: “Development of the law regarding inaedificatio: A constitutional analysis”. He completed his thesis under the supervision of the late Professor AJ van der Walt and under the co-supervision of Professor ZT Boggenpoel.
He is currently finalising his LLD dissertation entitled “Re-evaluating the courts’ approach to deprivation of property since the FNB decision”. Mr Sono joined the Faculty of Law, University of the Western Cape in 2018 where he lectures Law of Succession and Family Law. His field of specialisation is Property law and Constitutional Property law.
